The course sections widget enhances course navigation by displaying sections and their activities in an intuitive accordion format.
With smart visibility, hidden sections remain invisible, while restricted but visible sections are included, ensuring a seamless user experience. Custom styling options allow sections to be highlighted using CSS classes for better visual organization.
When combined with our Designer format, the widget provides detailed section information, including the section title, type, summary, and estimated time (a new setting in Designer).
For an enhanced user experience, enrolled users see linked activities, with completed ones marked by a checkmark. The general section remains hidden if it contains no activities, while courses without sections display an expanded general section by default.
The widget also offers flexible course selection, supporting the “current course” condition and allowing manual selection of a specific course. Subsections are displayed as modules for improved structure.
This widget makes course navigation clearer, more structured, and user-friendly!

In this example, the ‘current course’ condition generates an overview of the current course within a Dash block. The user has completed the first three activities of Module 1, as indicated by a checkmark.
Note: To display section types and estimated time the Designer course format is required.
