Chapters

Break longer videos into manageable, clickable segments that improve orientation and navigation. These chapter markers help break the content into logical sections — ideal for lectures, tutorials, or long-form explainer videos.

Chapters created in Vimeo are automatically imported into the Chapters Tab. The imported chapters retain their original language and titles as defined in Vimeo.

Local chapter files (VTT) can be uploaded directly in Moodle and are displayed inside the video player, enabling structured navigation without relying on external metadata.

For advanced chapter functionality, the Chapters Tab allows chapters to be created and edited directly within the Video Time activity. Chapters are stored locally, giving full control over chapter structure, naming, order, and availability.

Learners can view chapter titles and timestamps, and jump directly to any chapter with a click.

Local chapters are fully editable within the Video Time settings through the Chapters Tab.

Local chapters can be renamed and reorganized directly within the activity.
