Secondary tab navigation

Automatically generates a secondary navigation tab dedicated to defined hero activities. This tab serves as a quick access point to activities that hold significant importance across the course, such as forums, announcements, or essential resources. Designed to integrate smoothly with existing course layouts, hero activities enhance the overall course design without disrupting the flow of content.

Any activity can become a Hero activity. You can also define the exact placement of each Hero activity within the navigation.

Additionally, you can configure in Designer that there is no longer a “General section” (Section 0), and all activities within it (such as announcements, etc.) are automatically integrated into the secondary navigation as Hero activities. In this way, the “General section” can also simply disappear if it contains no activities.

We have created several demo courses in the Designer format that you can explore.

In this Designer flow course, the forum and the questionnaire activities are defined as hero activities and are therefore easily accessible via the tabs in the navigation.

In addition, the General section has been moved to the navigation. As the General section did not contain any activities, it has simply disappeared and the course starts directly with the First chapter.
