Progress through activities is visually indicated by changing the images or animations based on the activity’s status – available, next, unavailable, completed, or active (rollover status). This visual feedback not only enriches the interface but also helps learners track their progress and understand their next steps.
We have created several demo courses in the Level Maps format that you can explore.
In this example, the activity status is visualized by the house construction. The grayed-out base plate stands for “not yet available”. If it becomes colored and receives a pin, it can be edited. If the learning path is to be linear, the “next” status provides a visual indication of what needs to be processed next. When the activity is completed, the house is finished.
