Mandatory options

Many elements include a mandatory option to ensure active learner engagement. For instance, H5P activities can be set as mandatory, requiring interaction with interactive content. Polls can also be made mandatory, preventing progress without participation. Similarly, Video Time activities can be marked as mandatory to ensure the video is watched, and the Questions element can be configured to require an answer before moving forward.

In contrast, optional elements provide learners with flexibility, allowing them to engage with activities at their own discretion. These optional elements offer additional learning opportunities without imposing completion requirements.

Please note: Polls, Questions, and Video Time elements (including the mandatory option) require Content Designer PRO. H5P integration is included in the basic plan (from 1.1)

The learner is informed that they must first complete the H5P activity before proceeding.
