Notification suppression ensures that messages are only sent when they remain useful. Rather than sending irrelevant reminders, Pulse checks completion or progress criteria and suppresses notifications automatically.
You can suppress notifications when:
- Selected activities are already completed
- The entire course is completed
The suppress operator gives you fine-grained control – for example, suppress only if any selected activity is complete, or only if all are complete.
Typical use cases include:
- Reminders to complete an activity – suppressed if the learner already finished it
- Enrolment follow-ups – stopped once the learner is active
- Section-based nudges – only sent if the relevant section is still unfinished
- Re-engagement messages – suppressed if the learner has recently completed something
This keeps communication meaningful, reduces noise, and improves the learner experience – especially in recurring or long-running courses.
