- Delay delivery by a set number of minutes, hours, or days before or after the trigger condition
- Recurring options: Send notifications once, daily, weekly, or monthly
- Limit notifications to prevent users from receiving excessive emails
Targeted delivery & customization:
- Define recipients by role, with CC and BCC options for better control.
- Customize the subject and content of your email using placeholders for personalized messages.
- Preview your email before sending to ensure everything looks perfect.
Alternative: Pulse activity notifications
Besides the automation engine, you can also send notifications via our Pulse activity. Pulse activities provide powerful completion and approval options, making it possible to trigger notifications in nearly any scenario – perfect for custom learning paths.
With Pulse activities, you can also set up:
- First, second, and recurring reminders
- Notifications using placeholders, just like in the automation engine

This is a welcome message sent to all students upon enrollment. The recipient is their teacher, and multiple placeholders are used to display specific course details as well as personalized content, such as the student’s name and the course’s due date. The due date is dynamically set using our Time Management plugin.
