This feature addresses the common challenge of empty or underdeveloped courses by ensuring that learners and instructors are never left without direction. Instead of blank pages or confusion, Kickstart provides helpful defaults, visual placeholders, and targeted guidance that improve engagement, foster communication, and encourage course completion.
Fallback pages ensure that courses are meaningful and informative – even when content is still in progress.
The fallback page for students is part of the Student view, which instructors can access at any time via the tertiary navigation bar. It allows them to preview exactly what students will see, even before the course is officially ready.

✔️ Improved student engagement
By replacing empty course skeletons with informative and visually appealing layouts, students are more likely to remain engaged and return to the course once content is added.
✔️ Streamlined communication
Automatic display of teacher contact details simplifies the process for students to seek help or information.
✔️ Support for teachers
Offering resources and guidance directly in the course may encourage teachers to complete their course setups, reducing the number of inactive or underdeveloped courses.
