Login with a Magic link, instead of traditional username and password login. Users can authenticate themselves by clicking on a magic link sent to their email address. This eliminates the need for remembering and entering credentials, providing a more convenient login experience.
Admins can customize the login process by enabling or disabling the use of passwords for accessing Moodle. This feature can force users to use a Magic link to login. Moreover admins can define if a username is accepted in addition to email to receive a Magic link. With Magic Pro it is possible to define the Magic login link button position.
It’s also possible to allow logins via additional email providers and use the instruction field to include further information or links.
If you wish to integrate demo accounts, as shown in the second example below, you can find more information here. Magic Pro is required for this feature.
In this example, login is possible with a combination of username or email and password. Users can also login by clicking on the button “Get a magic link via email”. In this way, no password is required.
Note: If your theme supports background images, Magic can display these images.
Of course, it’s possible to enable sign-in using other accounts, such as Google or LinkedIn. Providing additional information through instruction fields during the first-time login can further enhance the user journey.
Note: With Magic Pro, you can create long-lasting Magic Links, which can even be integrated as buttons within the form, as shown in this example.
