Site logs

The site logs datasource provides administrators with a comprehensive list of all events tracked within the LMS, offering extensive customization options for tailoring the displayed information. Upon selecting this category, admins can enable or disable specific data fields related to site logs, as well as superordinate data fields such as “Course,” “Course category,” and “Users,” ensuring a granular level of control.

For instance, administrators can choose to display details such as event name, icon, description, or button, providing insights into various site activities. Additionally, course-specific information such as course full name, start date, or image can be included, offering context to the site log data. Integration of user data further enriches the datasource, allowing for the display of user names, credits, or profile pictures alongside site log events.

Admins have the flexibility to enable various filter options such as category, course, start date, course type, and more, streamlining data retrieval for users. Furthermore, data can be limited based on conditions such as users managed, logged-in users, current course, self-enrollments, course categories, events, and more, ensuring enhanced data relevance.

For example, administrators can:

  • Create a dashboard showcasing the most recent courses by sorting them based on start date.
  • Display the newest enrolled users in a specific course, facilitating efficient onboarding processes.
  • Provide teachers with specific important information such as submissions for an assignment across all their courses, aiding in academic management.
  • Create a news feed highlighting recent completions by team members under a line manager’s supervision, fostering collaboration and recognition within the organization.
