Credits

Introduce a flexible incentive system that rewards learners and can unlock new learning opportunities.

Credits can be awarded automatically or through Pulse activities, based on course progress, completion, or custom conditions. They are stored in a dedicated profile field and displayed in the navigation bar popover, allowing users to easily track their balance.

Through Pulse Automations, credits can be allocated in defined intervals — for example, as daily or weekly rewards. Teachers and administrators can override credit balances or upcoming automations, providing full control and flexibility.

Credits can also be used to unlock entire courses when combined with the free Credit Enrolment plugin.
This integration is designed for organisations that sell training to business clients and want a simple credit-based access model. Teachers can also use credits to unlock courses for their students, providing a lightweight and flexible way to manage course access.

Credits help motivate learners by providing visible rewards for progress. They can also support gamification or be used for grading and assessment purposes.

Please note: The Credit Automation action will be available with the upcoming 2.4 release.
