Pulse activity feature
This option is a refined version of the default “Students can manually mark the activity as completed” option. However, unlike the standard manual completion setting, once a student marks the activity as complete, this action cannot be undone. The completion status remains permanently recorded, ensuring a clear and reliable progress log.
This criterion is particularly useful in scenarios where students must commit to a decision or acknowledge an action before proceeding in the course. Examples include:
- Consent confirmation: Students must acknowledge privacy policies or terms before starting a course.
- Learning path selection: Learners can choose a specific learning path, ensuring their choice is final.
- Legal compliance: Students confirm they have read and understood mandatory disclaimers or regulations.
- Offline/real-life activities: A simple way to record attendance or completion of tasks performed outside Moodle.
- Student checklists: Helps learners track completed tasks without the risk of accidental unmarking.
With this feature, you can create structured and commitment-based learning experiences, ensuring that once an action is taken, it remains permanent and documented.
