An enrollment key can be requested in the registration form, functioning like a coupon code, but without requiring any payment. Enrollment keys enable controlled access to courses, and depending on the settings, only participants with a valid key will be able to register.
Administrators can define an enrollment key that allows users to access the platform as long as they have a valid key for any course on the system. The user will be automatically enrolled in the corresponding course based on the enrollment key provided. When a campaign is linked to a campaign course, a course-specific campaign enrollment key can be requested. This key will not only enroll participants directly into the course but also automatically assign them to different groups depending on the key used. This allows for the full benefits of group organization, such as targeted communication with different groups.
Enrollment keys, defined within the self-enrollment settings of a course, can be integrated into a campaign’s registration form to control and restrict access to the course.
After registering through the campaign form, the participant is automatically enrolled in the course associated with the enrollment key.
If groups have been created within the campaign course and assigned specific enrollment keys, these group-specific enrollment keys can also be requested in the registration form. As a result, the participant will not only be enrolled in the course but also placed into the correct group. This group assignment can then control which content is visible in the course. For example, there can be a forum for Group A that Group B cannot see, as they have their own forum.
Please note: The feature of automatic group assignment via group enrollment keys will be enabled with the upcoming 1.6 release.
